Today in class, we discussed different forms of writing. These include Narrative, Expository, Persuasive and Descriptive writing. Narrative writing is used when the writer is telling a story, this will usually include a plot, setting and characters. Expository writing gives information or an explanation about something, it should contain a main idea, supporting details and a conclusion. Persuasive writing is used to try and convince people to agree with your opinion of a particular issue. This encourages careful word choice in order to win over your audience. Descriptive writing is used to describe a person place or thing to create an imagine in the readers mind.
